If he is a ham fisted klutz, then it is going to hurt. If he is caring, loving, and wants to make sure that you are pleasured then it won't hurt.
The real question is why do you have to ask this question? Have you never touched yourself? If you haven't then I suggest you start practicing right now. Make sure he cuts and cleans his nails. If its his first time fingering, he might nick you on the inside and that's when it hurts(especially when go to use the bathroom). Also, you don't want to get any dirt inside your vagina. Ending up with an infection is the last thing you would want. Getting eaten out is a different story though. Most of the time, it feels good.
