Halo 3. HD? 1080p or 1080i?

I have heard Halo 3 is going to be 1080p. Do you know if Halo 3 is going to be in 1080i or 1080p?

Unless they sell Halo 3 in HD DVD , it is going to be in 480p, so that people with regular DVD players can buy it as well..

If there is an HD DVD version, then it will probably be recorded in 1080p.

Halo 3 will be 1080p on Xbox 360 consoles that output via HDMI (so the Elite, some new 'Pro' models and the Halo 3 special edition).

On the vast majority of consoles, 1080i will be used.`
