if your boyfriend is a Mormon then why don't you just ask him about it?
But since you did ask.....they believe Jesus was the son of God. The believe in the Godhead, not the trinity. God, the son, and the Holy Spirit are three seperate beings. They believe Jesus died for our sins.

Why not ask your boyfriend?
We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the only begotten Son of heavenly Father. That He came to be the perfect sacrifice for our sins, and we must accept Him as such.

We believe that he is the Literal, Physical son of God the Father.
He has a normal geneology, he is not a vapor of mist or smoke "Everywhere and No Where" like some would have you believe.
And after his death and resurrection in Jerusalem, he came to the America(s) and taught the people there.

I have answered this questions many times. He is the Son of God in the flesh, the only begotten of the Father. He is the firstborn of the Father in Spirit. He is the God of this world, the Savior, Redeemer, Advocate before the Father, the example for all of us to follow, the author of our Salvation due to His atoning sacrifice. He is the cornerstone of our religion, the one we worship. All that we do, we do in His name. We cannot return to the Father without Him.
Jesus is the Christ, this is His church and we are here to do his work among the children of men.

They think he's coming back. Two Mormons came to our door saying that Jesus is coming back, as if I hadn't heard that one before.

Ask him or go to church with him. We believe that Jesus is the son of God, born from the virgin Mary, died for our sins, & rose again in his own body in three days.

That He is "a god", but not God incarnate as He actually is. Look at their wording very carefully because their errors are never obvious. Their central theme is that you can work your way into being good enough to be accepted by God which the Bible says that no man can ever be good enough by works of the flesh.
