I know it's a 'phase of being a teenager' and all that, but are there any inexpensive home remedies that might help REDUCE (or zap =D) chest and back acne? I don't usually get it on my face (which I should be happy for). It is a bit itchy. My back is okay right now, but my chest pimples are few, yet very red.

Work from the inside out. Drink plenty of water. This is beneficial for all your health, not just with your skin.
Take vitamin E supplements. This is food for the skin. Be sure not to take them on an empty stomach or you can get nauseous.
Wear cotton clothing. This helps the skin to breathe so it won't get as sweaty and oily, causing pores to clog up. Synthetic clothing does not allow skin to breathe as well.
If you have the privacy, lounge topless for an hour or so a day to let your skin breathe. If possible, do this after a shower while your pores are open from the hot water.

Acne on the back is a real pain and makes it uncomfortable to sleep on your back if it's severe. Here are a few tips.
1. Shower once a day to get the sweat and oil off
2. Wear cotton clothing so that the skin can breathe
3. In cooler weather wear a cotton undershirt so that the perspiration is wicked away from your skin
4. Avoid scented soaps and body washes that can irritate your skin more

Clean & Clear makes a prescription-strength acne product that you can smooth on your chest and back every night before bed. In some cases, the pimples are nearly gone by the next morning.

It's called Clean & Clear Maximum Strength Persa-Gel 10.

When looking for any on-the-spot acne treatments, always choose products with Benzoyl Peroxide.

The causes of some peoples acne can vary by far. I would watch my diet, make sur ur not consuming alot of foods and drinks that contain alot of acid. watch ur caffine intake, and make, and bath wit mild like soap. Lotions and soaps wit alot of perfumes can sometimes cause breakouts. U should try bathing wit some nutrogena body wash, and or something wit shea butter in it. try not to use lotions that clog ur pores. Use that johnson and johnson baby lotion wit the shea butter in it. Try the body wash to. If it is mild enough for babys, u know it can work for u. Oh yeah for the itch find u an aloe vera plant from somewhere and break u a piece of the plant off. Rub the gel on the areas where it itches, lime works too.

First wash with Neutrogena body wash for acne. Make sure you dry off completely and use Clean and Clear moisturizer with salic acid. Then spot treat with Benzoyl Peroxide. It will clear up within a week. Be sure to wear breathable clothing and check you detergent. Sometimes the fragrance will make your skin break out.

Get Rid Of Acne Permanently?

I have tried ProActiv, Clearasil, Clean & Clear, Neutrogena, and other grocery store brands. What I've found in all of these brands is that they either leave your skin feeling dry, lighter (some have bleaching ingredients), or they temporarily treat the acne but not prevent it from coming back.

My recommendation (based on personal experience and the no-risk, 180-day satisfaction guarantee) is to use clear.now skin care system--especially for your chest acne and 'back-ne.'

clear.now is only available online (such as on http://www.arcebal.com), and it is comparable to ProActiv, with one major exception. clear.now penetrates deep in your pores because the active ingredient, sodium chlorite, is 300,000 times smaller in molecular size than the benzoyl peroxide used in ProActiv. No wonder some people see some improvement from using ProActiv, in the short-term: anyone can see improvement only on the surface. But, if you stop using it, of course, it will not prevent future breakouts because ProActiv cannot get deep in the pores enough to eliminate the acne-causing bacteria.

clear.now also uses salicylic acid, which is the standard for treating acne. What's awesome is that clear.now provides pharmaceutical-grade amounts of salicylic acid, not trace amounts, but the max that is allowed by the FDA (2% in the scrub/cleanser and 0.7% in the toner).

It consists of a scrub/cleanser, toner, and lotion.
[Break the cycle of breakouts with the only 3-step acne treatment system utilizing patent-pending sodium chlorite combined with salicylic acid to keep pores clean, clear, and cared for.
For acne-affected skin]

I've used clear.now, and it's worked for me.
Again, it's only available online. Try it: You have 6 months to return it, open or used, so you have nothing to lose--except your acne.

Walmart sells some topical cream call Zapit. Or use a cleanser cream that contains benozyl peroxide(?). Keep your fingers away from your face and clean it often.

Good luck!
