the Bible calls the earth sperical, not flat. and the proof is seen any time there's an eclipse of the moon.

it'd be pretty stupid indeed for men who wrote the Bible to espouse a flat earth with that in evidence wouldnt it?

"four corners of the earth" is a statement still used today .. after the space age, and pictures of the earth taken from the moon.. to refer to the four different directions : north, south, east, west.

1. The bible refers to the earth as a circle (a round two-dimensional shape).

- Kind of a redundant argument. What shape is a basketball in? I say a circle. Whats the problem with that?

2. Jesus and Satan take a trip to a mountain so high the entire earth can be seen from it - which can only happen on a flat world.

- Another redundant argument. This was Jesus and Satan - two very supernatural dudes. Also the scriptures say they were taken, "by the spirit" to these places so this isn't some naturalistic field trip to some mountain, this is some really strange spiritual voyage. But the real miracle here is not "a flat earth", but would be the distance. Go to a top of a mountain and you will understand the farthest you can see is maybe 60 miles away at best. Just by that little tidbit you know this isn't some kind of literal field trip to a mountain. Besides the disciples did not go with Jesus and Satan apparently, so it is more hearsay then an actual event.

Oh, since they base their argument on redundant statements, here is my redundant refutation:

Jesus was taken to a high MOUNTAIN. Mountains are not flat! Hence right there the Bible says the earth is not flat! The earth is very hilly; not flat.

End of story. The very scripture they use to claim the Bible tells of a flat earth is entirely wrong, the Bible talks about a very hilly earth, totally the opposite of a flat one. Hilly earth, not a flat one. Goodbye.

Not flat, it says the earth has four corners.

But if it were a cube it would have eight corners, so I guess maybe it is flat after all.

It also says Joshua stopped the sun. So the fact that the earth is flat and the sun can be stopped, that proves that astronomy is false.

When Satan took Jesus to the top of a mountain and showed him the "four corners of the Earth" this can only be achieved if the world was both flat and square.

the four corners of the earth are north south east and west. and the bible states that they sat up on the circle of the earth. that sounds like a round earth to me.

The Book of Flintstone. Unfortunately it's been edited out of some translations.

It doesn't. The Bible is not a book on astronomy, it is about God's relationship to man.

There isn't. There is a reference to the "four corners of the earth" and some have mistaken that to mean "flat."
