(and it also says this in the scriptures) that if you've looked at a
woman (from a boys point of view please) that you've already committed adultery with her? Lust is a sin, but how is it (again from a boys point of view) that you've already committed adultery with her if you looked at her with lust? Just confusing.

You know the saying "it's the thought that counts"? Well that is what is meant by this and it goes for men and women. If you have sinful thoughts, it's the same as committing the sin. If you hate someone, it's the same as committing murder. You should have love in your heart and in your mind, not lust and hate.

God Bless.

This is another example of the two parts of life, physical and spiritual. The physical part is to actually lust for the woman and have a physical relationship with her, thus committing the very act of adultery or fornication. To look upon her with lust, even though you don't do anything physical is to spiritually adulterate yourself because in your heart you have already committed the act with her. Thus, the Savior asks us to control not only our actions but our thoughts as well. We can't excuse ourselves for not doing anything wrong if inwardly we were wishing we had.
Thus, if we look on a woman, to lust after her, then we are weak, can't control our emotions, desires or passions, and we are inwardly carnal in our desires. This is wrong, we are not clean before God when our hearts are carnal.
I hope that helps.

Yes lust is a sin but if you recognize it as sin and not justify it confess it and try not to do it again then Jesus will forgive you.

To brother G the Mormon. There are 2 groups of the LDS church One still practices polygamy and many of them are young girls married to old men as early as 14. This is a fact here in arizona. Warren Jeffs is their leader. I also knew members of the other LDS church who practiced polygamy in secret but that was 15 years ago not 117. they have passed on so I don't know if others still practice polygamy.

like I said there are 2 groups that claim to be Mormon. You just confirmed what I said.

Well, if that is the case then we all have committed adultery with hundreds of celebrities and married women.

It doesn't seem practical. Every time you do it solo you need some sort of picture. Right? So how can it be adultery when you need it to be healthy?

I have been told to speak to my Bishop about it but I don't want him to know! He might look down on me.

If that was the case, I would have lost my virginity at 13. Weird, huh?

Well, since no "sin" is better or worse than another, adultery is just as bad as lust.

HOWEVER:

Just doesnt make sense. Big difference. But the Bible is full of it. The only way you can avoid commiting adultery is by getting a knife and...

(Oh come on. Who doesnt lust?)

Skylur44 is a creep, Mormons don't have sexual relations with children and haven't practiced polygamy for 117 years.

Budit2 The LDS church hasn't practiced polygamy since 1890.
The FLDS church isn't the Mormon church & you sound like Frank.

Must take these scriptures with a grain of salt. Remember, the Bible was written by many different people, not always in agreement, and over centuries of time, plus undergoing many translations and interpretations subject to the opinions of those doing the translations.
Also, of all religions in the world, Mormonism is more a cult for men's pleasures and a way for men to enjoy relations with children and have mutliple wives than it is a viable religion.

What He is saying is that the desire is in the heart. He knows our heart and therefore knows out desire.
He is asking us to keep our thoughts under control.

Because us confused, evil, demonic mormons are supposed to marry a woman and take care of her and our children and not just use her for sex.

We are supposed to keep our thoughts pure and clean because if we are to become like Jesus and Our Father in Heaven our thoughts are what makes us who we are.
