I have already ask this question in "mythology and forklore"
and I am now having to expanding my search. Prehaps the christian sector has some wisdom to share ...after all many animals are mentioned in the bible and I can only asume it was for a reason.
I am doing a research work on the subject of "Time" in which, a certain animal stands out as a universal icon of time for humanity throughout the ages.

There is no animal in the bible that represents "Time"
Yes, there are many animals in the bible. Yes, many Christians are wise but the idea of animals representing time as being the god of time, is pagan and nothing to do with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

None are really good examples. Christian symbolism often relies on the metaphysical world rather than our own. Christ draws many metaphors from every day life, but there are no Biblical contributors that consider anything eternal. And nothing (except the practical) represent time in general.

Probably the closest you can get from the Bible is an eagle.
