There have been documented reports of people visiting places in out of body experiences, and your actions of flying and floating would be consistent with such experiences. There is one story in particular that is very interesting, and a true story. A woman was looking for a house to buy, and in her dreams, she saw her dream house. She found the perfect house for sale, and it was exactly the house she was dreaming about, and it was for sale for a good price. The reason the owners were so eager to sell it, was because they thought it was haunted, they kept seeing someone who they thought to be a ghost. It turned out that the ghost they saw looked exactly like her, and she had apparently been visiting the house through out of body experiences.... (although it was clearly destined that in this story, this woman was destined to have the house, I don't think that is the situation here, but maybe because the house is a landmark in your homeland, maybe it has some meaning for you....)

According to Dreamcrowd:
To dream of your childhood, indicates your wish to return to a life where you had little responsibility and worries. It also represents innocence. Alternatively, it suggests that certain aspects of your childhood has not yet been integrated into your adult personality. Or on the other hand, some childhood anxiety has yet to be resolved in your adult life.

It could be possible. When I was watching "Saving Private Ryan" I saw some things in the movie and thought, "I remember those" when I realized I wasn't even alive in the 40's (or the 50's for that matter).
