By the time I go to basic training I will be 2 classes short of receiving my bachelor's in Acct. and Finance., which I plan to attain after "A" school. Since I am not a US citizen yet, I can not go to OCS even if I have the 4 year degree, so opted for enlisting and when I receive my citizenship in 2 years apply for officer school. But here is my question, is the NAVY willing to take in to OCS people that have not graduated from Annapolis? If so what is the cut off age to apply for OCS?

Thank you Charles S., for letting me in and proving that not everyone that comes in the country wants everything handed to them!

Yes, your degree will acceptable, doesn't matter if you earned it from a other than military institution. I do want to thank you for coming to my country, getting an education and volunteering to serve in the U.S.Navy, and working to become a U.S.A. citizen. Your efforts will be rewarded. Again, thank you from a U.S.Marine.

OCS is Officer Candidate School, and is for people who HAVE their Bachelor's. When I went thru in 1992 it was 27.

Annapolis is the US Naval Academy, and graduates get their Bachelors after 4 years, and then their commission.

NROTC is a commissioning program for reserve officers via numerous US civilian schools.

I was enlisted for 7 years, went thru OCS after completing my degree, and then served 8 years as an Air-Operations Limited Duty Officer.

Most officers in all the services didn't graduate from a service academy.

The age is 27 I believe. Call a recruiter and they'll know the age.
