Some one put a pic of some one I know online & was calling him all sorts of low life words, also this person put my full name on line & what I do for a living, & was bashing both myself & my job. Is this allowed ? I mean really has no one ever heard of ( defamation of character ) ?

If this persons claims are false and they create some sort of harm to you, your personal or professional life, and you have the proof to back it up, you can sue them for all they are worth!
Plus, it may even be a criminal act if they published personal information about you such as your ssan, phone numbers or address, as these thing could result in identity theft.
