When i was 13 i weighed 113. When i was 16, i weighed 140. Its ok. At this time, i guess we have to adjust our eating habits to our metabolism. My little brother gained weight when he turned 14 until he reached 148pounds. Half a year later, he's down to 133! Without that much effort either. And ive lost the weight too. Its hard, i know, but all you have to do is walk whenever you can (go do errands) eat vegetables, have fruit for desser. The most important thing is having a light dinner. Try having the chicken and rice for lunch, and vegetables or salad for dinner. By cutting down on one item, lets say you drink regular soda and you switch to diet soda, you save around 140 calories! So its the little things that add up. But the best thing you can do is not think about it too much. Have fun. Enjoy your childhood. Your going to have the rest of your life to think about a superficial thing like appearances.

140lbs for a 5ft 15year old is only BARELY "overweight" definitly not into the "fat" category.
some basic weight management tips:
don't snack/nibble all day. if you do this your body will never burn off the excess fat it stores up.
also, don't diet excessively or skip meals. If you do, that tells your body not to expect nutritional intake, and it will store up whatever it can afford to as excess fat, basicly going into hybernation-mode.
Exercise! a pound of exercise is worth ten-thousand pounds of diet. Exercise comes in many many forms, and you don't need an hour or even a 10minute "workout" to get exercise. If it's not too impratical, try walking to and from school instead of taking the bus. Take up a sport, it's not the season right now, but track is probably better arobic exercise than any other sport in my experience.
Another trick for "free exercise" is to use wrist/ankel weights. http://www.sportsunlimitedinc.com/anweig.html

There can be many things going on here. If you do indeed eat healthy and don't eat fried foods and junk and limit your portions to one serving instead of having seconds, then you could have a hormonal problem. I would suggest consulting a doctor.
My question to you would be, have you always been heavier than your family members or is this a recent weight gain?
If that's just the way you are, then accept yourself as you are and try to focus on being healthy rather than being thin.

mmm I think you MUST see a Nutrition Specialist as fast as you can.
First of all, don't feel guilty, instead of wait for time to pass, DO something, it's not your fault if your body reacts different than the rest of your family, but it will be yours if you dont do something soon. There are a lot of programs designed for people with weight problems, and it's not necesary for you to starve, see a profesional, they can teach you how to eat and what to eat. Also, exercise! there are tons of option nowadays, you're young, be positive, and try to find a solution, not just because of looks, but because of your health...

Hon, some of us are just stout, no matter what we do, so don't stress about it. Maybe a sport is in order. Try a low impact sport like maybe distance running, you may find yourself slimming down a bit while doing it. It does not involve a lot of heavy exercising, but it is affective.

You will have to buy coconut oil and olive oil and stop eating margerine and soy cooking oils. The make great bio diesel fuels but in the gut of some of us they form acid growth and that makes us over eat... trust me.

im 13, and i weigh more then you. Its NOT ur fault, ur body digests food slow, so the time a normal person digests a meal, ur just starting and you keep eating and it cant digest it all so it stores it (and the storege becomes fat)
