Good afternoon, Teachers, Staff, Guests, and fellow students. My name is _____ and I am running for president.
Dedicated. Responsible. And Enthusiastic. These are three words that describe me, and three reasons why you should vote for me. First of all, I would like to thank all of you for electing me as Spirit commissioner last year. It was loads of fun dressing up on Spirit days and making up new Spirit days, and that’s why it shouldn’t be a surprise that I would like to be on student council again. I cannot promise that if I am elected we will be allowed to chew gum or have no homework. But I can listen to what you, the students have to say, and pass it on to the faculty. I will try my best to meet any student requests. If that isn’t good enough, then I am not the person to elect. The only promise I can make is that I will try my hardest to help you, the students, have a memorable school year. Some ideas I have to improve the school are: more fundraisers, better

better food in the snack shack, and more electives. I believe that I am qualified to represent our school because I have past experience being on student council, am involved in many school activities such as the spelling bee and school play, worked as a library helper, on lunch crew, and at the snack shack. I am also in the leadership elective; therefore I will have more time to get things done.
While casting your vote, I ask you to look beyond popularity or who you are friends with, and look at who would be the better leader for our school.

This speech is great! The only thing I might take out is the line "if this isn't good enough then I am not the person to elect". Stay positive, you never know when people are tuning in and out and the last thing you want is someone to only hear "....I'm not the person to elect".
Otherwise I think this is great and I would vote for you!

Nothing id really change, just also remeber the who you are talking to and word it more in a way they can have fun with and comprehend more even though i pretty much think you did that!

Unless you really think you can get better snacks, etc. dont't mention it. Everyone else is going to make those trite promises that never happen, so set yourself apart.
