She shouldn't be bathed so often. Dogs really do not require a bath more than once a month. Do it too often, and you risk drying out her skin.
Sit on the side of the tub, when you bathe her. Take it slow, let her adjust to the water, before soaking her, and let her adjust to being wet, before lathering her up.
I had a dog that refused bathes. I actually had to put on a swimsuit, and sit IN the tub with her, to bathe her. She would lean her entire body against me, to feel safe.
It's the only way I could bathe her. She needed to feel secure.

Too many baths can make the skin dry and itchy, and it will strip the healthy oils from the coat that it needs to protect it and keep it healthy.
A groomer would book you in every 6 weeks, so that is as often as it should be done.
She obviously has a fear due to something that went on in the parlour, reassure her, and be gentle, and try and get the bath over as quickly as possible to avoid stressing her out too much.
There are some great shampoos out for white dogs, use it from the neck down, and use a gentle baby shampoo around the head ears and mouth.

Buy a good quality dog shampoo, the PH is different to human shampoo and does not dry their skin out as much. There are lots of types on the market. I think there may be ones for white dogs????
I used a spray one one of my dogs because her coat was always flat and dry.
Bathing a dog once a month is more than enough. My Springers and Labs used to get rinsed of with a bucket of water after some of their walks and they had been in the river, soap was only used when they had rolled in smelly stuff.
I get in the bath with my dogs and there is always a large rubber mat down so they do not slip.

you shoudlnt' be bathing her that often it will dry the skin and coat might be the reasong for teh dull look.
Get a good moisturizeng shampoo and use Downy fabric conditioner ( 1 inch of softner in a gallon of water ( I use an empty milk cartan to mix)) and use it as a conditioner ( was taught this in a prfessional dog groooming school)
I would suggest not bathing more than once a month at teh most. Usually if you took her to a groomer it would be every 6-8 weeks
As far as being afraid just try to calm her down and maybe give her a treat after.

A dog shouldn't really be bathed at all!! but realistically they like to roll in smelly things and white dogs (I have a White GSD) look dreadful if they are not bathed occasionally, my dog gets bathed about once every 6 months and no more, every 2 weeks is far to much and if the poor dog is getting so upset, then it is quite cruel to continue to do so, if you are grooming her (brushing etc) every day then she shouldn't need it, if she is a bit smelly you can get things to brush into her coat which will not dry her coat and skin out. Use proper dog shampoo or baby shampoo, nothing stronger than that.

hi i breed bichon frise and i own 3 bichons myself try giving her a shower and when you give her a shower talk to her at all times then dry her with a warm hair dryer if she is upset going to parlour keep her from there or you go with her and stay with her at all times and you need to use a good baby shampoo i never use anything else and im not being nasty but you are bathing her to much give her a good brush every day but only bath her every 6 to 8 weeks unless she gets really dirty and if you give her a cup full of factor 4 goats milk once a day you will see a big change in her coat it will not hurt her as it is very good for her

I bath mine, HAVE to she gets so muddy!! I stand her in the bath, with a bath non-slip mat... and put the warm shower on her to make her wet.... then I use a baby shampoo which says non-sting for eyes... lather her up... then rinse her off.
Try being gentle... expect they were rough at the parlour... try a little bit of water in the bath and maybe start with just doing legs and tummy to give the dog more confidence. Try to avoid the head / eyes / ears etc to start with....
Mine likes the rub down in a towel!! Give lots of cuddles and reassurance....

You are bathing the dog too often. Twice a year is enough for any dog.
