Why not, everyone else can.....

Absolutely! Jesus said it's better to give than to receive. How can we 'give' if we don't 'have' anything to give?

The problem comes when we worship money instead of God. The Bible says that we can't serve both God and Mammon (money personified).

Many people misquote scripture by saying that money is evil, when in fact, it is the 'love of' money that is the route of all evil. Money itself is neutral. It can be a great servant or a lousy master!

Many preachers that we can now see on Christian TV are preaching a so called 'prosperity gospel'. Whereas prosperity is perfectly biblical, we must be sure to keep this in balance and realise that money is not everything.

Check out a great web site at www.wisdomonwealth.org for more on this...

1Tim. 6:10, for the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. The Lord needs rich Christians to help carry the Gospel to the uttermost parts of the world, but their is a fine line there, remember the Parable in Luke 12:17,18, the rich man said he would tare down his barns and build bigger ones, thats greed, if the Lord gives you money it is for a purpose, and it will bring Jesus the glory, not us, remember the rich young ruler who had followed all the commandments but Jesus told him to go and sell all the he had and come follow him, and the young man went away sad because he had great possessions. Its okay but we must stay close to Jesus or the old devil will drag us down.

CERTAINLY, BUT NOT MAKE MONEY AN IDOL
=======================================

Yes, I can help many suffering people across the world if I have wealth!

Just a few clicks and keypresses a suffering soul in Africa or Asia or anywhere gets my help!

Yes, I can pray for them, that God send someone to help the suffering.

If I have money I become the God's agent who is being sent! Or who actually become God's means of helping poor!

But we should not become greedy! Greed is Idolatory.

Yes, Jesus said, "I wish above all things that you would PROSPER and be in health as your soul prospers" -

He made Abraham wealthy: Genesis 13:2
He made Issac wealthy: Genesis 26:13
He made Jacob wealthy: Genesis 32:9, 12

So he wants you to prosper also

He also said, "I have given you ALL THINGS pertaining to this life and the next" - 2 Peter 1:3
Meaning if you need money, you got it; a new Rolls Royce, you got it.

Obviously you must be born again for all this to come into effect, but after that you should be subdueing the earth!

A wealthy Christian is in a position to do a lot of good things. There are some out there.

yes, as long as they don't forget who their savior is, and they don't let the money become their god. wealthy christians can do so much good for others, thats a good way to remember who blessed you with that money, and keep you from getting a " i'm better than everybody else" attitude.

Unfortunately, it is easier for a camel to crawl though the eye of a needle then it is for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.

What did Jesus say to the rich man who came to Jesus and asked him how to get into the kingdom of heaven. He told him he had to live a righteous life. The man told him he did. He then told him he lacked one thing. He told him to sell all that he had and follow him. The man walked away say, because he was very rich. A man cannot serve both God and mammon. Mammon being money. He will love one and hate the other.

So is it okay for believers to be wealthy? I believe it definitely can put a strain on the man's walk of faith. Yet, all things are possible and only God knows the hearts of men. I believe the wealth of a man on this earth vanishes and so I believe he will be judged by the good he did with this wealth such as using the money to as God wills him to use it.

Absolutely. Wealth is our natural right--that's for ALL people, regardless of religion. It's HOW it's USED and the consciousness BEHIND it that makes the difference. It's the LOVE OF MONEY to the exclusion of all else, that is the real root of all evil.

Difficult for them to get to heaven. AS difficult as it is for a camel to get through the eye of a needle. However, all things are possible with God.
Interesting to note that by the world's standards very few are not wealthy in this country.

Yes.

Its more important that we have a right relationship with God.

Matthew 16:26
For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Mark 8:36
For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

My friends you and I are going to be dead a lot longer than the 100 years or so we will live on this small planet called Earth.

My suggestion is we need to invest more of our time and talents and money in forever than the here and now.
