I handed my application in a week ago and ive heard nothing.By the way im 15.

Well, I think a better question is how long before you follow up? There are so many people searching for jobs, so calling them and following up shows them that you are pro-active and puts your name at the top of the list. If you don't follow-up, your application just gets lost in the pile. Trust me, employers are impressed with follow-up. Don't be nervous or scared - it's how badly you want the job.

I'd give it about a week and at then at that point the question is how long does it take for you to follow up with them. I'll tell you the answer, after a week since you handed in the application.

If they were advertising for people, you'd probably hear in a week. If not, could be several weeks or a couple months. You could stop back and ask them if they are hiring, and if they've reviewed your application yet.

Stop in after another week and ask them if they are still hiring. If they are, then the apparently don't want you to work for them. If they are not, ditto.
