Seems like a nice package and looks as though it is a cost effective solution for replacing microsofts very expensive equivelent? Anyone use this package and is there any problems with it?

OpenOffice is a good program. If you only use it on your machine and do not share files with others, then you will be very happy with it, and yes it does what it says.

If you need to share documents with other users who use MS Office, then I would not recommend it. There are hundreds of very minor differences and things that do not transfer correctly back and forth between OpenOffice and MS Office.

I use it enough to know who to recommend it to and who should not.

Yes. Just make sure that if you need Word or excell to open it on another pc you must save it as .doc. Its FREEEEEEEEEEEE
