Global warming will not make Alaska a nice warm place. It may make the winters less severe, but it will still be a pretty cold place.

OK the state of Alaska is not a frozen waste land the lack of geography is showing in some of the statements Ive read so yes if this is true people will move to this wonderful state.Alaska will melt! very funny.by the way I lived there 3 years

It could now if someone decided it was the place to live. The fact that most of present-day New Orleans was flooded yearly didn't stop people from draining it and putting up levees so people could live there. But, you know how that turned out.

Since most of Alaska is snow, ice, or permafrost I doubt it it will just become a Northern Swamp.
