It's hard for them to trust in scientific explanations, when their whole lives, they've had people telling them something contradictory and false.

Science is full of misconceptions where Evolution comes in to play. For example it is still the THEORY of Evolution but is largely presented as fact. This makes the scientific community look like they are grasping at straws to prove the Bible wrong. Why are they so driven to find another manner in which Creation occurred? Are they planning to Create a new Universe? If Science wants to win my confidence lets see them ut all that "brain power" and money for research into things that matter.
For starters lets see them cure some of the diseases that are caused by the drugs they created to cure other diseases. It seems that they do that by making other drugs to cure the diseases they caused in the first place. Science is proof that Man is not capable of fixing things only delaying the end result. Why because man for all his learnedness is not smart enough to fix anything unless God allows it. The reason they have not found the "Missing Link" is because the Link is the connection to the Creator of the Universe...if they miss the connection they will never understand the Creation.
Remember they used t claim the accuracy of fissils, then they found in Glen Rose Texas fossilized dinosaur footprint in the same strata as that of HUMAN thus showing that Humans and Dinosaurs lived on earth at the same time. Science is actually the Worst Enemy of those that try to prove Evolution, it is not provable, but like the Thiestic Evolution it requires faith to believe. Some put faith in falable man, smart people put faith in God.

I've been trying to the past few months on these boards. It seems fruitless; very few of them will accept much of the evidence, and tend to renounce any evidence because a few fundamentalist leaders don't agree. I try my best to be patient with the lot of them, but some questions and answers are so inane, silly, or outright trolling, it's hard not to respond irrationally some times.
If they really wanted to know the truth about evolution, they'd do their research and ask questions on the biology board, not here.
Edit: Just to clear up one thing here, to which many Christians seem to be offended by: evolution is both fact and theory. The *fact* of evolution--a change over time, by definition--is just that, a fact. Scientists know that organisms change over time, and it has been clearly documented. The *theory* of evolution just tries to explain how that change occurs. It posits that through reproduction, mutation, and natural selection, these changes take hold in populations and are one cause of speciation.

Being nice so they won't be stubborn is not possible as they've already set their minds in concrete. Example from a response to your question:
"Actually, there is too much scientific data to support a young earth idea, and too much that debunks an old earth idea."
Excuse me while I ROTFLMAO! Friend, try posting your YE support data and your OE debunk data. I give it about five minutes before any point you try to make is dismantled by at least two posters using copy/paste from talkorigins or from memory. I totally expect "your" points to come from already-discredited creationist websites.
Science doesn't censor its findings, especially those that have never been published in scientific circles, like any of your YE claims. Post a link to one, just one, such article published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal anywhere. Sorry, mass market books from YE shills don't count.
ADDENDUM
The three posters directly above prove the point. They maintain their willful ignorance about what a scientific theory is to the extent that they probably practice Intelligent Falling because the Theory of Gravity is "only a theory". (debunked at http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CA/CA201.html ) They trot out debunked non-sequitors such as DNA not being able to produce new information. (See http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CF/CF003.html for your debunking.)
You can't get through to parrots who only echo back, without understanding, empty claims they have heard from other parrots.
And for the condescending and insulting ignorant Xian directly below, who parrots the claim that mutations are always harmful, http://www.talkorigins.org/indexcc/CB/CB101.html .
Evidence for intelligent design? Bring it on! Same challenge to you. Post a link or a source for ANY evidence of ID published by a reputable scientific journal anywhere in the world. We're waiting, as is a Nobel Prize...

Yeah, but I don't know what will work for groups that believe the earth is 6,000 years old or that humans and dinosaurs co-existed.
Whatever helps to spread science, I suppose.
But I do admit getting agitated at the extremism of some of these folks. I live in a city where the largest private college in the state (Liberty U.) teaches that dinosaur bones are 3,000 years old. I feel bad for the good people turned away from the scientific method, but not for the preachers hawking pseudoscience to get religious funding.

I am well informed about evolution, and am a Christian. I was thought it during High school and I am now in my undergrad preparing for bio-chemical engineering. I understand it quite well but I don't believe in it. Aspects of it are true sure, like Natural selection. I believe mutation happens. But I do not believe together they caused the evolution of man. My reasons for this are based upon science. Natural selection only works on the information of the DNA that is already there and does not produce new features out side of what the DNA can provide already. Mutation only destroys DNA in some form and does not produce new information. So it does not produce the information needed for Natural selection to work upon. Only a loss of information and broken information all of which go the wrong way to make something truly evolve. If you could inform me of another way Darwinists have explained how DNA got longer in information and strength Then please do so. If not there is no need to inform me further I will stick to what I know from my studies.
Good day.

No. Evolutionists don't need to "inform" Christians about the theory of evolution. It's not as if we haven't studied the theory. I have studied many facets of science including biology, anthropology, geology, and physics, and I have studied the Bible. I find archeology quite interesting and I look forward to new discoveries. If and when someone finds the missing link I'll be glad to hear about it.
I'll still believe in God and Jesus when they do. Has anyone else thought of the fact that satan is the god of this world...and that he could give false evidence...when his sole purpose is to lead people away from God? Hmmm...

Actually, there is too much scientific data to support a young earth idea, and too much that debunks an old earth idea. Evolution is based on an old earth idea, and breaks down if the earth is young (which is why so much data is CENSORED from the textbooks you're reading.) If you only knew! I feel sorry for your kind.

Hmmmmmmmmm. I wonder if you can be taught about the scientific evidence for Intelligent design. I will tell you in the nicest way possible as not to get you defensive or make you fell stupid or insulted.
Mutations are always for the worse not the better.Hey, was that a monkey I saw in the zoo or someone you are related to/or in the future. I don't want to insult the monkey for being in your family. Sorry.

Y'know? Maybe if you just put the information foreward, in the most scientific way you may be capable of, your IDEA, or knowledge can be considered. AND if you ever get past the uncertain thing, of saying your, might, could be possible, maybe, and not insist a THEORY is a fact. Well, you just think about it.
