God already protects us, though not in the sense that would matter to the world. We do not fear men who can merely kill us, but we fear God who can cast us into Hell.
Ecc 8:13 Yet because the wicked do not fear God, l it will not go well with them, and their days will not lengthen like a shadow.
1Pe 3:14 But even if you should suffer for what is right, you are blessed. “Do not fear what they fear ; do not be frightened.”

Terrorists are a danger no matter what they believe. Either way they want to kill you because they believe they are right and everyone else is wrong. Considering Stalin is no longer in power but Bin Laden apparently is, I'd take protection from religious terrorists. So am I really safe now?

Everyone knows that there are few, if any, atheists who kill in the name of atheism.
So OBVIOUSLY, I'd take the former, rather than the latter.
I know what you're trying to illustrate, but it isn't religion that causes terrorism. People just like to USE religion to perpetuate terrorism...because they're dumb.

neitehr one. God said that he will protect me from all of my enemies and make them my footstool.
if I didn't know anybetter, I would take the protection from the atheist. I would have to suffer wit Jesus for his name's sake against the spiritually lost representing false God's.
