Fact#3 illegals will live 8 to 12 people in a 2 bedroom apt. Fact#4 illegals are actually getting paid 5 to 6 times what they'd make in their homeland; hence why they can send money home. Fact#5 illegals know crossing the border is a mistemeanor, the 2nd time is a felony! Fact#3 illegals hurt blacks far more than whites by working jobs for low pay in the blue collar work field. Fact#6 politicans for amnesty or the fast track to citizenship only want their vote. Fact#7 the same politicians, are not offering illegals anything in a better life than they had at home. Fact#8 the media and politicians have now convinced a great number of people that illegal is not what it really is. Fact#9 illegal now goes under the same meaning as i smoked but didn't inhale, I didn't have sex with taht woman, Oral sex is not sex.

There are so many answers to this question that it boggles the mind. But basically it is because it benefits someone. While the invasion of illegals costs the average American citizen millions of dollars in tax dollars it is benefiting politicians, big business, Mexico (Bush's buddy) and certain religious Faiths. Why do you think that there are so many Spanish language billboards,and radio stations. Why you have to press "1" for English and why there is Spanish and English signage on everything from the front door at Home Depot to voting ballots.
Unfortunately we won't ever be able to stop illegals and the reason all of the fact that you mentioned are being ignored is because of the almighty $$$.

Oh, I don't think these things are being ignored, though I'd suspect that the folks actually WORKING on the problems have a better set of data than you do -heavens to betsy, what we probably have hear is folks doing the job that actually know a bit about the situation!
