No. But people are more apt to give the ivy leaguers first shot. But there's plenty of losers from harvard, princeton and yale just like everywhere else!

College is all about networking. At an Ivy League school, you're more likely to meet people who have $.
That said, it may be best to attend a college that best suits your personality. If you're laid back and mellow and go to an Ivy League school where there are lots of Type A personalities, you'll probably not be very comfortable.
Consider going with your gut. Colleges spend a LOT of money making sure they appeal to the right kids. If you come across a brochure or web site that catches you eye, learn more. If you really like them, maybe visit for a day or two and see how you fit in.
Good luck and enjoy! Connect with good people who are like-minded and you'll have life-long friendships and it'll likely help your career along as well.

You will make more contacts that could lead to potentially more success. A good school on the resume does get noticed.

No. You will have more attractive credentials when applying for a job. But that is about all you get out of it.
