In order not to have lots of little ones on the floor at the same time as the garder and bouquet toss, the bride and groom did what they called a "children's toss" where they had 2 small teddy bears dressed in a tux and wedding gown for the little girls and boys. Any suggestions on songs for this particular kind of toss?

Actually yeah.

They didn't do just one bear for each though. They knew the kids would fight and get really jelous.

Instead they had like 8 bears from the dollar tree or something and candy bars (stay away from anything small and round....you don't want guests falling). The kids still got their scramble but there wasn't any fighting since everybody got something.

They tossed to Willy Wonka. Either that or the circus theme would be hilarious.

Probably not as rude as some of the others, but it really upset the bride and I would be very offended if someone does this at my wedding. The ceremony was close family only, so most of the guests were just invited to the reception. The wedding was organised at very short notice, so not exactly what the couple wanted, but they did a brilliant job. Anyway, a guy that we work with turned up part way through the reception in a t-shirt and ripped jeans. He looked like he'd just rolled out of bed. He helped himself to some food and a couple of free drinks and then left. The bride was really upset and offended by it, which is why it bothers me so much.

theres a hippo in the bathtub
has really cool songs for youngsters!
by the way, i kind of agree with the comments about kids getting left out or teary eyed cause they didn't get the bear! i would buy as many bears or whatever as there will be kids - then toss them all together - that way the kids have fun and they all get one!
good idea
have a great wedding

A wedding my husband and I went to in July didn't do this, but the bride and groom made sure to have the caterer make special food for the kids. They had chicken strips and fries for the kids and the waiters brought them to the table so they wouldn't have to wait for the line at the buffet.

I thought you meant they tossed the kids. :-)

I like the idea of giving each kid a prize or favor. I don't like the idea of tossing only a couple of toys and having all the kids trying to grab for it. It's stressful to the kids, and upsetting to the ones who don't get the prize.

the Hokey Pokey is a fun song or the Bunny Hop..or just go to the store and look in the CD section and find a kid's song CD and let them have their "dance" time too....
