1. Saves all the time on housework (I still have to worry about my 7 AM office deadline)
2. Saves quite a lot of money amidst skyrocketing prices
3. Allows you to keep your obnoxious wife in check (she'll constantly have to feel jealous about a slave-woman at home)
I'm not arguing the racial/ethical dimensions just thoughts if it were legal today I would surely go for one. I would be also in favor of legislation that would allow slaves to change their owner in lieu of abuse/exploitation and not get away with crimes such as rape/murder etc.
Slavery could be used to benefit all the homeless, unemployed and good-for-nothings to become more valuabe members of society and wouldn't carry as much of a degraded status.
They would be just like other workers with same legal rights except for earning money from their labour.

You must also assume that people have NO legal rights. And, people are all ----uncouth.
Who would you choose?
The Germans have spotless homes (supposedly.) Would you want them to be your slaves and do all the housework?
The Japanese have the most awesome food. Maybe they wouldn't mind laboring over the hot stove all day for you.
The Scandinavians have awesome furniture. Perhaps, they would be willing to do all the carpentry for free, just to please you.
Etc., etc., etc.

I didn't know it was illegal to own slaves!!! I've been a slave all my life! Do you really think I earn an INCOME??? There is no such thing as INCOME, it's all a matter of OUTGO....
IRS, Electric, gas, fuel, food, property taxes, sales taxes, mortgage, insurance, doctors, lawyers, banks, cable, phone, ... and the list goes on and on. Oh, that doesn't even include the "domestic chores"... laundry, cooking, cleaning, washing, dishes, shopping, errands, um... "that stuff," and on and on.
WHEN have I ever earned a proper INCOME or PROFIT from my labors? If you think $7/hr is proper, then there IS slavery!! And heck... I don't get paid for the domestic chores, either!
All we've done is "legalize" slavery! We've made it a form of "paid slavery." To my dying day, I will work my azz off just to stay alive.

We have slaves here today-you ; me and the rest of the world. It is legal. Who will pay for you food; shelter-if you don't work?..And, those credit cards and bills?..you're a slave to the companis you have to pay back or there wil be consquences.

If you really think that you can own a human being, or that you are entitled to force them to work for you without any compensation, against their free will, you are a morally bankrupt, souless individual and I truly hope that you dont have any children that you would most certainly corrupt.

No way, I prefer to pay the employees for their jobs due to the productivity it gives and also because it's fair to be paid for whatever the task is.

no thanks. I'd rather pay people for their hard work. There is no pride in being a slave owner. It only shows a lack of concern for others and ones own sheer laziness.
