I don't think so. I truly come on here hoping to help someone with one of my answers, but lately have been disheartened by all of the "bashing" that goes on in here. I am a Christian, so yes, I AM more prone to compose my answers according to my beliefs. A lot of people get offended, but I can only answer from the view that I know. I wish that R&S could be what it's supposed to be: a place for people to come and learn from each other.

People get on R & S to preach or to complain about a question that is asked. It doesn't look like many askers really want an honest answer. I see may people on it that don't have any religion at all and wonder why they are reading R & S material. Are they thinking they missed out on something? I would say R&S users don't use the section correctly. I think we are supposed to help people by giving them an honest answer here.

Yeah, for the most part. One can argue that they're asking wasteful questions, but what one may consider wasteful another may consider relevant.
The only things that bug me are:
1) Soapbox rants disguised as questions.
-and-
2) Superficial questions intended to lead into long sermons in the details section of the question.

I don't think that a lot of people do. People come on here to ask questions about the topics, and there's always someone who gets on their high horse and bashes them. I've also seen people ask questions that set others up for a bashing because they ask questions that have no right or wrong answer.

No. YQA is for questions and answers. It's not a debate forum. It's also not a chatroom.
Probably 20 of every 25 questions asked today have been violations of Yahoo rules and guidelines.

Some do use R&S as it should be used, to exchange ideas with those who have many differing opinions.
But some use R&S as a place to vent their anger or hostility for others, and that is truly a sad thing.

I think its being used correctly unless you were hoping it was a religious forum where everyone agreed with each other. That it's not!

I don't think there are any rules to using this section. If it's related that's good enough.

Sure - asking and answering to increase knowledge and understanding. Some may be taking the roundabout way - but we can learn from everything!
