Salsa is a very popular dance all over South America, especially at Columbia. I think, that is where came from.

Puerto Rico, with "Rafael Cortijo y su Combo". Before anybody was singing, and dancing salsa like they are now, puertorricans were already playing, singing , and dancing in P.R. After "Cortijo" then came "El Gran Combo de Puerto Rico", that still going strong.

Is that the kind you listen to when you are eating Toco's? Salsa is what you put on spanish and mexican food so maybe it is from there.
