Go to your hairdresser. Describe or bring the dress you will wear. Depending on the neckline, and the color, he or she could give you very good advice. Changing your hair color is an option, and so is putting braids or other hair pieces.

They like to be challenged too. It will be a welcome treat for their creativity in an otherwise routine ordinary day of work.

if you have dark dark hair, give it polished, damp curls.

if you have light hair, make sure it is smooth and silky, and put it down,

if you are the bride, ask a hairdresser the look that would best suit you, but if you are not the bride, keep it simple, like the two hairstyles described above, so you don't outshine the bride.

What type of dress are you wearing? Something formal? - go with a simple updo or chignon.

If it's bit more informal, put it in hot rollers for some volume and bounce and either leave it down, or put it half up/half down with some soft curls left around your face to frame and soften it.
