Animals are to be treated humanely but they are also to be treated as food. I suggest we continue to use animals for food and medical research.

Animals for food is OK it's been adapted as soon as humans learned to eat meat. People and animal used for research, medical testing etc. depends on what type of testing will be done. There should be a regulating body or standardized system in choosing what will be used as a test subject.

In medical research u can e.g grow human tissue, test om computers is up-coming, i've heard of testing on bacteria etc...
Animals differ a lot from humans so they're not the best alternative when it comes to testing chemicals etc...
If we don't use animals for food, we can eat nuts, seeds, beans n vegetables n food substitutes for vegans etc...

this is hard to declare for particular. good judgment tells us this is thousands and thousands, although. I see we've a PETA troll who tries to disclaim the plain data. drugs and coverings developed by ability of utilising animal finding out has quite of course saved the lives of thousands and thousands of people and different animals and decreased distress from ailments in the two communities besides. purely a man or woman who's unaware of the reality can dispute such an obvious actuality. PETA relies upon arousing hysteria, so as that gullible individuals are overpowered by ability of good emotions and might't be functional and purpose. Ingrid Newkirk is a "ethical monstrosity", Bernard Goldberg wrote in his e book approximately "a hundred people who're Screwing Up u . s .". If pass over Newkirk and the Troll who denies the super value of animal finding out had their way, they might reason thousands and thousands of ineffective deaths and untold suffering by ability of people and different animals. Such individuals are certainly "ethical monstrosities"!

You have to use animals for food, regardless of what vegans claim you simply cannot get all the necessary nutrients from plants. PERIOD. Its a fact.

people...i don't agree with animal testing/medical research, but for food i do agree. that's what they were made for and if we didn't eat them the would become overpopulated and they would be forced to fend for themselves as it would be to expensive to feed and care for them, and that would lead to them becoming diseased and they are not really adapt to living and fending for themselves, domestic cows chickens and pigs, are not fit to live in the wild, so if they are going to die let them it be to our benefit.if ever one stopped eating meat, so many problems would come up, as the farmers would not want to pay to for them to eat, so they would all eventually starve to death, so if you want to help out animals, throw away your fake meat an eat a burger. Its your personal choice to eat meat or not, but don't Try to force it on to others, cause i will hit you with a steak.

We'd have to use people, I guess.
Because there wouldn't be enough food for them to live.

-We could open more zoos
-Fence in all our yards and use them as lawn mowers
-Use them as models for art students
-Allow the kids in schools to take care of them, like the 4H program, as one of their subjects (this way kids will know responsability when they are grown)
-Use them to help sick people feel better, like they do with dogs & cats
-Breed them in space and make new animals that can live in space
-Homeschooler’s can have their own 4H type of program
-Love them
-Care for them
