My brother and dad both have horrible tempers where they yell and yell forever! Is there a way that their tempers can be minimized?

Wise Guy is right.
You really need to install a circuit breaker of sorts.
When they start yelling, you leave.
Say, "Hey, if you can't grow up enough to control your temper and converse in a calm, intelligent manner... I have nothing to say to you!" Then leave.

Find other places to hang out... find any legitimate excuse to be out of the house, while still getting your assigned chores done and your studies done (just to stay out of trouble). Extracurricular activities, part-time job, sports, homework at your friends' house.

You can check into different websites about anger management. One of the things people always suggest is taking a "time out" by counting to ten or walking away from the issue. You should also find a time when your father and brother are in reasonably good moods and let them know how it makes you feel when they are yelling.

Don't get them mad! Otherwise there is nothing you can do.
