I think it's interesting how we all see the Gods differently. SOme believe all gods are one god, some see all the gods as different aspects of on god/ess, etc.
I personally think ALL gods are seperate and individual. My specific gods are my litereal anscestors. Frigga is NOT Freya who is NOT Athena or Isis.
I was wondering what my fellow pagans around here think on thier personal paths?

Same as you. Gods are separate entities. I'm a hard polytheist.

I love this question because it's fun to see what other Pagans say! I've only been pagan (well, Eclectic Wiccan, actually) for a short while compared to most of you...I mostly agree with you, though, because I believe that each God or Goddess has different energy and specialties, but they're all made from the same basic energy...sorry if that cancels each other out, I'm not very good at explaining stuff...btw, Daughter, not to kiss up, but i really love your questions ;]]

For a long time I viewed it as One, but lately I'm not so sure. When I was younger, in my teens, I believed they were all separate. Though I fell out of the "ritual" part of Paganism and delved more into the study of the history, culture, etc... I started viewing it more as One entity, rather than separate ones. Whenever I felt a certain connection with a God/Goddess it wasn't a full connection but more of a pushing in another direction. (It's hard to explain - Really Hard to explain lol) I have worked with different Gods/Goddess but, as I said, the connection never lasted long... so that lead me to believe that they were all One and just simply different aspects of that One. Now, though, after my son started getting interested in a certain path and, of course, I'm helping him with the study of it... certain things have come about that are making me rethink my position on this.

Like I said, it's hard to explain lol

i'm polytheistically agnostic. i believe that there are beings on a higher plane that are god-like, but i'm not sure if they're the gods we know. since everything is connected, i don't really think it matters. gods would certainly be more in tune with the universe, so if i call on diana as an archetype, then my call will be heard even if inana is the more appropriate entity to handle it.

i think i do lean more to the idea that they are archetypes that are assumed by higher souls, which would mean that we are all right. they are individuals and also one with the universe.

I am a Monotheist. I beleive the different gods are the different aspects of the Universal Energy that conects us all.

That is the beautiful thing about Wicca and the other Pagan beliefs. A person can believe and practice their religion how they see fit as long as they don't hurt any one.

Blessings!

Same as you, seperate individual gods.

I've seen some compelling arguments on similarities between the Celtic and Nordic pantheons - similarities between Taranis and Thor, for instance, or Lugh and Odin - but I'm going to treat them as otherwise for now until I can get more information from them.

I'm a pagan Witch, but not polytheistic. I get down to nature with Mother Earth, She is it for me, and I embrace Her in every breath I take, every time I plant a plant, with every sunrise, when I am in the shower and I feel the water cascading down my skin, when I see fire, when I hug a tree, when I smell bread, when I see my son, ........... She reminds me I am alive foe a short time on this Earth, and that She will take me back to Her body.

Some gods may be the same, a.k.a. Jupiter- Zeus but not all... Christians idea of angels, are still all technically gods, and so is satan and demonds, so yes, even in christian theology there are many, many, many gods.

I'm a hard polytheist, like you. My wife is a pantheist but I don't buy pantheism.
