Excuse me but the earthquake, the veil of temple tearing, and dead saints of old rising and walking about in Jerusalem 'being seen' for the next 40 days is mentioned in the TALMUD!
Now, try to keep up here. The Talmud is a sacred book of Judaism. Judaism of that time was a COMPETITOR to Christianity, and would not have wanted to put anything in their sacred book to back up what Christianity says, UNLESS IT WAS POSITIVELY TRUE. (I know I'm probably already way over your head here, but I'll continue, and try to use little words....)
Hmmm, Herod's slaughter of the innocents, considering that Bethlehem was a sleepy little village not over 1000 people, and that Herod had slain only male children 2 and under, would have probably only had 10-15 babies killed TOPS. Considering the viciousness of this tyrant, this was not remarkable; this is the sort of thing he did in his sleep..... Not particularly mentionable among all his othe atrocities.
Now do at least try to keep your own arguments consistent, genius: First you assure us that "Herod slaughtered tons of babies," then you tell us the entire population of Palestine at the time was around 15,000. Are you aware the population of Jerusalem ALONE was more like 100,000!
Please LEARN. Something---ANYTHING!!!!

Well one of the most popular Bible verses says that "For God so loved the worldd that He gave his only begotten sone that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life". So God does want us to believe in Him. The problem is that you believe in what those 'scholars' you mentioned say so there is no way you would believe in what God actually says. Its like being told the colour you see in the sky is blue then someone else tells you its called red, you'd disagree with him. You are basically mixing theory and theology, confusing yourself. Who is Josephus and who are these scholars you are talking about anyway? 'Scholars show' you've already made up your mind what you believe. And you also choose to take the scholars words as truth, without giving us any tangible truth.
The guy above me has a very good point. If you don't believe in something then you are least likely to spread it around as truth! You are being less objective to those scholars than you are with God.

Your question doesn't seem to fit your expansive statements and questions. The Bible is not the word of God. It was written from word of mouth stories. God does not speak any human language. Additionally the Bible is hearsay, stories and mythology. This is not to say that some practical and meaningful parables and knowledge cannot be gleaned from reading the Bible. If you are looking for God, you should look elsewhere.

I believe in God. He has done enough miracles in my life. I can believe in all the others that you mentioned. When I look at quantum mechanics, I can find as many mind boggling things to question. I look at the universe and existence and find that hard to believe, but I do. I can only quote Shakespeare in that " there are more things in heaven and Earth"....

These early historians did mention Jesus Christ. I would assume that they didn't record the miracles that were performed because they were probably thinking "who would believe me"? These historians weren't Jewish historians. Josephus was a Jew turned Roman citizen and wasn't a devout Jew. Thusly things weren't recorded that would give creedence to God.

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever BELIEVES in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
Of course God wants us to BELIEVE in Him!!!
Do these Scholars have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? If you do not know God, or SEEK to know Him, then you will not. You are only seeking to discredit Him. You won't in our eyes, only your own.

It's no myth and its all about a personal relationship with Him. He wants us all to believe in Jesus and if you believe that He sent His Son Jesus into this world to make it possible to have a relationship with Him and that thru Jesus you can have that relationship by asking Him to forgive you of all your sins, accepting Him as your Lord and Savior and begin that relationship with Him.

You're very wrong in saying that God doesn't want us to believe in HIM.....it is completely the opposite!! In fact, HE wants us ALL to believe in HIM, but that simply is just not going to happen! God already knows this, and he knows who will accept HIM and who won't! To accept God into your life is a choice!! I chose to have a relationship with HIM, and since then I have never been the same!! GOD IS LOVE!!
May the Lord Bless You!!

Even Santa Claus visits every mall in America.. God limited himself to a small town in the Mideast. If you want to be believed you need to travel around the country, shake hands, and kiss babies (ask any Presdidential candidate)
