Seems like with millions of people getting raptured out of here, there would be millions of other people who would be saying, "Hey, I'm cleaning up my act to also get raptured!" Seems like a forgiving God would haave lots of late rapture checkouts. It would also give those Buddhists, Muslims and other non beleivers a chance to clean up their acts.
On the other hand, a one time rapture thing would keep people in line, that thoose left behind are simply screwed. You knew or should had known that this was going to happen,
So what is it, single event or multi event raptures that will be taking place?

I read the bible, but I don't see any reason to think there will even be one rapture. Where did this idea come from?

As far as I read revelations their is only one rapture of the church, some believe that there will be a second chance during the sever year tribulation, others do not. Both sides have compelling Biblical references for believing so. This was one of my biggest stumbling blocks, till I realized I really do not know, and I could die before I ever found out the truth, and that would have been my lose, because I was not a believer.
Like everyone else I, was given every opportunity to, as you say, "clean up my act" why wait until it is too late.

None of the above. The Rapture is a modern invention, was never taught by Christ or the Apostles, nor the Church for 1800+ years! I wouldn't worry about it.

A one time shot at it. His Word and obedience to it provides everything that we need to get Rapture Ready. There will be no excuses on Judgement Day! Today is the day for salvation.

One Rapture Before the confimation of Seven Yr peace plan between Israel and P.L.O.;;;
One 3 and 1/2 yrs later and then One at very end of seven yr. Plan;Also there was one at the Resurection of Jesus;
One thing Man is uncapable of " Cleaning up his act" It is Jesus and how You have responded to Him; That is what is the determineing factor;

I have no degree in theology, but I believe Jesus will come back and take back with Him His children. There is then supposed to be a period of, I think, 7 years of hell on earth under the reign of the anti-Christ. Once that is finished, the remaining Christians will either die and go to Heaven or be called to Heaven by the Lord.

The so-called rapture is a tradition of men. There will be no rapture as the verses in Thessalonians which are commonly used to substantiate the febrile delusions of an old dying woman are gross misrepresentations of the original texts from which they are derived.
The tribulation will be experienced by all -- including The Elect and you will know the second coming has occurred when you are no longer in your physical body. So just pinch yourself and if you experience pain Christ has not returned.

Whether you believe in post trib, pretrib or whatever, the rapture( which is a name we have given it its not in the Bible) is a one time deal. Christians are supposed to be spreading the good news to others, that is our mandate, and it is our fault if all the non-believers out there perish.

God is God and he will do whatever He wants to do. The Bible teaches us that we are to be ready at a moments notice. That does not leave room for "i'll wait till I hear the Lord has come in another time zone and then repent." God has given plenty of warning. He has been very patient with sinful man. When Fathers says so... its will be time for all and they better be ready.

The Holy Spirit is calling and drawing people continually to come the Jesus. One day the Christians will be gone, but there will always be repentance available to those left behind. Then when He comes back to earth to stay, it will be too late for those to ask for forgiveness. One rapture, One return to earth.
