Figure out exactly what causes aging and stop it. It seems unlikely that this would be able to be done retroactively on those already born. But on the unborn there still exists the possibility of immortality, or at least greatly extended lifespans.
Recently in some worms they were able to extend their life spans by 3 times through genetics.
This sort of thing isn't as far off as others would believe.

How can anyone take a question like that seriously - aging is a natural process - it's the media that's youth crazy. it makes people feel guilty because they grow old. Be thin - look young, act like you're seventeen when you're pushing 40. It's a crazy world and the media has a lot to answer for. And we have a lot to answer for because we pander to it. get real do you really want to live forever - because that is what you're saying. You' just afraid of what's waiting for us on the other side. Get real and live your life now because now is all you have.

You're saying you wanna live a billion years?
Apparently, you NEVER lived a billion years before or you would not want that, believe me.
After a few thousands years, life gets pretty boring and you're just begging to move on.
But hey, it's your life.
All you have to do is come from another planet where people live that long.

i do have a theory in how to do this BUT it does take the whole thought of being 'alive' out of the question..
my thought was for you to die at 25 and get your body presevered.. but since you want to be alive that ideas out of the window..haha.
its normally climate.. environment, eating, people, stress,..well basically life as a whole which makes you ages .. i truly dont believe there is a way this can be achieved.. without plastic surgery..
maybe if you were to live in a dome ... just you, a loving wife and two point four children..(strikly no arguments..just pure and simple happiness).. and if there were no eartly elements can harm your health or skin, (like snow, sun, rain, etc) and you had a great diet..then maybe it could be possible...

Only way I can think of is Cryogenics(being frozen). I'm just guessing that they will have a cure for Alzheimers in less than a billion years.

IN biblical times people live to be hundreds of years old. Probably living right and treating people good is the key to a long life.

Well, there are a lot of anti-aging skin care products out there--better start now, 1 billion years will go by before you know it. Oh yeah, and drink lots of water.

To do this, you would have to live in an alternate universe where bodies don't age and decompose like all natural things. Ain't possible my friend!
