k she is goin 2 the orthodontist tommorrow @ 830am and he will be scraping her gum 5 times & putting braces on. will she be asleep or not 4 the gum procedure? shes only 12. todays her birthday. will she get laughing gas? how long will all of this take? will she feel like goin 2 school afterwards or will she be too sleepy?

OUCH!!!! just to be safe i would not let her go to school, if she is in pain. and also bc she might not feel like doing anything bc of the gas. it makes you a little sleepy.
tell her i said HAPPY BIRTHDAY AND GOOD LUCK!!!

You seem to have a little misinformation. There shouldn't be any reason for the dds to scrape her gums. Generally, putting braces on is a really simple proceedure, no laughing gas needed. She will probably be ok for school tomorrow, but the next day her teeth may hurt more, if they attach a wire at that first appointment. That really shouldn't keep her from school, but she may need some advil.
