If you are talking about the ones (Blue Hippo comes to mind but I could be wrong) where you give them a checking account number and the funds are deducted from it, have you read the fine print?

First you must make a series of payments BEFORE the computer is shipped, like 3 -6 months worth. Then they ship the computer when of course that money up front has probably covered the cost of the computer but you keep paying for a long time.

In other words overpriced and a crappy computer that you end up paying a fortune for.

Save the money for a few months and pay cash. You can buy a decent computer fairly cheaply if you don't want all the fancy video/graphics stuff.

If you check computer stores, you might even find used or reconditioned computers for only a few hundred dollars.
