My Mum used to make a bacon pudding that no one has been able to duplicate.
It was made with bacon, onion, herbs, salt, pepper and suet.
That's all we know. We've tried to make it but it never turns out right. Anyone know of a similar recipe?

Don't have a favorite dish, but when I prepare rice for a side, I use low sodium chicken broth instead of water and add some Ground Turmeric which makes the rice a lovely yellow. Looks nice on the plate with the vegetables and (usually) chicken dish. Saffron would do the same thing, but I'm afraid it has never been in my budget. Love rice pudding but buy it ready-made these days. If it doesn't contain raisins, I add them as they are a must for me. And, yes, a sprinkle of nutmeg on the top.

Mine has to be spaghetti cheese. To this day, I still love it. It was the cheapest meal when I was bringing up my two children alone. It brings back memories of 'a tough time'. But although it was a tough time then, my children who are 33 and 25 still love and cook it.
Boil spaghetti until cooked.
Grate cheese and layer on the bottom of dish.
Put cooked sphagetti on top and then layer with a good helping of grated strong cheese. Slice tomatoes (optional) and lay on top. Grill until cheese is melted and serve hot.

I love bacon wrapped scallops. I just wrap them in bacon and put on grill or broil till bacon is crisp. I made this for my fiance and his family as a dish to bring and cook at a gathering and it was a smash. It is also a little bit of a romantic dish for me and my fiance. We will enjoy this once a week with a steak and I usually cook us 2 or 3 each. The best way to cook these after you wrap in bacon is to scewer them.

My favorite dish is grilled lobster. I love it because my friends and I drive down just south of Rosarito, Mexico and spend the weekend just to have the grilled lobster in Puerto Nuevo (nicknamed "Lobster Village"). I love lobster, but it's also about spending the weekend with good friends.
