I mean a serious coca cola addiction. Not drink juice and water. I am aware of those things that I SHOULD do it's just trying to do them that is hard for me. Is there a way I can associate coke with something extremely unpleasant or something? Any innovative ideas would be great. You see.. most conclusions that I could draw on my own. (drink more water, stop drinking it, etc). They say to stop drinking it.. but I get to where I want one so bad I will drive to the store just to buy a bottle of coke. I'm looking for something SERIOUSLY DRASTIC.

First of all calm down and relax. You know that you have a coke or caffeine addiction. That's good. You've gotten through what most people won't admit. Congratulate yourself.

Now just know that you won't be able to quit like some sort of miracle. You won't be able to read one of these answers and then a lightbulb will go off and you quit drinking coke and life is wonderful again.

it's going to be painful quitting something you're used to drinking everyday for pleasure, for thirst, for need, etc. I hope you realize this. Next, know that you may need to just cut down your number of cokes rather than quitting altogether. Can you handle that? could you possible replace those urges with something bettter like water or hot tea? maybe you drink coke because you're bored. In that case, find some new hobbies. Tell everyone that you are trying to "cut down" on your soda...They'll probably say "that's cool"...and so you won't drink it in front of them

just remember to start slow and commit to kicking your soda addiction.

I've never seen anyone with a soda addiction. Okay, just try and drink it in moderation. Like, drink water juice, or teas then give yourself an off day where you allow yourself to drink some soda. Or you can just try and just drink soda on special occasion like a party or when your family goes out to eat. That's what I do. I only drink it occasionally or when I get a craving, but that's only once in a while. You're still young, so I wouldn't say that you have a problem. You only think that you do.

I quit a very serious Mt. Dew addiction by switching to sparkling water with lime. All the fizz with none of the sugar and caffeine. (Although I used to pop a Vivarin in the morning and pretend it was part of the "soda" I was drinking.) And after about a month I weaned myself off the caffeine pill. And please don't think it was like speed, one is equal to 2 cups of coffee. Who doesn't have 2 cups of coffee for breakfast?

well, as you know, coke is not good for you. first, don't buy coke when you go to the grocery store, so you won't have it in your house. second, (i know this is discusting) but think of coke as very liquid down poop or something. lastly, find something healthy that is just as good as coke. i personally love smoothies and slushies b/c they cool me off and taste really good with your favorite fruit. just remember, coke has a lot of sugar. maybe thinking of the sugar in coke eating up your teeth, because that is really what it does, might help. just try to ignore coke all together and find something healthier that is just as good. hopefully this helped and you will get over your addiction. remember a coke addiction is almost as bad as a drug or acohol addiction. if you really cannot get over it, you might want to get professional help.

Not sure if this will work, but you could put something in it to make it taste bad. But that would mean you'd have to do it every time, and that might be hard to make yourself do. Good luck, I know it can be hard to kick food habits ;)

caffeine addiction can be serious...speak to your doctor, because anything short of just stopping I cannot think of. You really don't want to replace one sort of caffeine with another, so speak to him/her I'm sure they have solutions.

read up on high fructose corn syrup and about how these companies don't care what they're feeding you all in the name of profit.
that's how i dropped soda like a bad fashion from the 80s.
