I have been to Sunday yard sales. Most of the time by Sunday the folks have been sitting in their yard fanning themselves and eating sandwiches since Friday and they are just tired and all their good stuff already sold. They have a pocketfull of free cash, so they go spend it on Sunday.
When I have a sale, I would rather pack up the leftovers on Saturday afternoon and use those as the start pile for my next yard sale.

It depends on what the yard sale custom is in your region of the country. With the Navy moving us around I've been a few places where Sunday sales were no problem. I've also been places where Thursday and Friday sales get traffic. It just depends on how people are scheduling the sales where you live.

sunday's are usually family days. most people just don't shop yard sales on sundays for that reason.

It is still seen as a day of worship & rest. As a day of worship, there is no buying or selling, so not to profane the Lord's Day. That is why Chick-fillet is not opened on Sunday.
