1. There is no such thing as a cheap dog. The purchase price is the cheapest part of pet ownership.

2. There is no such thing as a teacup anything. It's a marketing scam to sell and breed runts that are more prone to health and physical ailments.

3. If you want a "cheap" Yorkie, then go to petfinders.com and search for a Yorkie rescue group so that you can possibly adopt a dog in need of a home.

That's really hard because the akc doesn't recognize a 'teacup' anything- so the only people who breed 'teacups' are backyard breeders/puppymills. They are in it solely for the $$ so they will expect the top dollar they can get from people who don't know any better. Most Yorkies will stay under 7lb- so they will all be small- even a 'normal sized' non-teacup.

But $150 is not alot of money- so a real breeder probably wouldn't sell to you for that amount either. I would check out petfinder.com if you are in north america- they have some purebred yorkies if you look for $100-$250 including their spay/neuter and all their shots.
Right now there are almost 600 iin shelters and resuces- some of which are cute mixes and some of which are purebred- take a peak

Teacup yorkies are not a real breed. They are basically unhealthy runts that puppy mills try to breed since they are so popular. You will end up with a unhealthy dog prone to life long issues due to its small size. Think of the dog like a miniature person or a oversized person. These people generally live shorter and not as healthy lives. There is no such thing as a "cheap" dog. I have spent $3k alone this year on vet bills for my "cheap" great dane that I thought I was getting a bargain for.

If you want a dog, stop being so picky. Also, if you got a yorkie for under $150, what would you do if he/she got sick? You can adopt homeless rescue pets from petfinder.com, but if you don't have the money to take care of the pet, don't take the pet home. I adopted a rescue dog 5 years ago and within the last year i had to spend $1500 at one time because she got hemorrhagic gastroenteritis. I have doggie health insurance, so I got a few hundred dollars back eventually from them, but I had to pay up front. My dog would have died if she hadn't received the treatment. She's fine now, though. You never know what's going to happen to your dog even if they seem healthy when you get them.

Not anywhere . Theres no such thing as a teacup yorkie . Just another name BYB's use and make you pay a high profit . Unless you want to adopt a yorkie your not going to find one under 150 .

Go to a local shelter. That's about as cheap as they come. If you don't have a lot of money though, you shouldn't get a dog. They're almost as expensive as children to support. You should plan on spending $1000 in vet bills alone within the first several months to a year. Double that to include food and supplies.

Cheap? A healthy well bred Yorkie isn't going to be "cheap".

As with most everything, you will get what you pay for. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure there are some puppymiller's that would be happy to sell you a disease ridden puppy for next to nothing. Is it worth getting attached to a pup that wants nothing more than to be loved (because it's been neglected since birth) and it dies before its a year old from some disease it inherited from one parent or both?

Save your money until you are able to deal with a reputable breeder.

No where. Yorkies are by far one of the most expensive show dogs. the only place where you could probably find one that isnt on hold is animal shelters. but non from a breeder or a pet store

A healthy, purebred dog will never be inexpensive.....

Sorry if that's not the answer you want to hear.

And if you DO look for a cheap or free dog, like one that's past puppy stage, you can expect it to have problems ~ behavioral and otherwise. And you can't fix those problems without professional help, which will cost you more than you paid for the dog.

It might not be that much of a deal if the yorkie has inherited defects...as it gets older, it might have health problems that cost more than what you saved on acquiring the pup. Go for quality over $ savings.
