I'm thinking of buying a PS 3 and need to know what extra stuff I need apart from the console itself.

An HDMI cable if you have a HD ready television, some games or a movie. Thats about it I think.

You DO NOT need an HDMI cable to get HD graphics. These guys don't know what they are talking about.
Besides the system, all you to play is a game. Simple as that. It comes with one controller, and there are consoles out there with pack-in games like Motorstorm depending on where you live.

You wont need anything seperate to play unless you want hd graphics (only works if you have a hd tv) then youll need to buy An HDMI cable.

as the first guy said, and if you have a broadband connection, you can pick up some playable demos from the PSN store online for nowt.
