No, I don't. Actually I don't pray but when I did my prayers were not answered anyhow. I have no religious faith.
The attitude which believes prayers are answered in probably based on misinterpretation of events. Whan good things happen, well they might and probably will have happened anyway.
The religious "theory" of events though is that there is intention and will behind everything, so when something good happens, it must be the will of a 'higher' being.
There are many false positives occuring which reinforce peoples faith, interpreted as evidence for it, but really quite independent of the theoretical entity (like God or karma). If something good happens for instance, the theory is concluded to be true. But religious people tend to be closed to alternative, more realistic or naturalistic explanations. That's why atheists compare God to fairies and pixies and unicorns: they may as well be imaginary for all intents, effects and purposes, and have little basis or substance in the observable natural world.
Whether this mocking stance is the right attitude to take is another thing. Believers might see the devil at work or something like that when atheists make such claims (yet another "false positive" for you - based on their theory that the devil tries to mislead and take away their faith). A tangled web for sure.
We come to a fuller understanding of affairs when we acknowledge that humans are merely apes, like chimpanzees and orangutans and gorillas. With that in mind, we should not expect enlightenment all of the time. And let's not frorget that humans are proven to be prone to cognitive biases, a long list of wwhich can be found in wikipedia. Such then is the frailty of the human mind, that leads so many to ceaselessly believe in God.
Can you be a good person without faith? Well, that's another question.

No, let's not forget the age old saying that you create your own luck.
If you do plenty of good things and something good happens to you, it may not be a sign specifically sent from the big guy upstairs but just a general indication that you are doing ok.
If you prayer for something specific and it comes true, then I believe in the over-all scheme of things it's God's indirect way of showing that your keeping on the right track.
Agreeing completely with your question would allow us to consider the horrible concept that when bad things happen to us it's God's way of punishing us. In fact that is most certainly not true. Bad things can lead to ultimately great things and vica versa. The thing to remember is that we are only a small part of God's wonderful creation, and that many, many small designs make the whole picture. A bad thing might lead to a good thing and so-on.
I hope this helps.

Jehovah is the giver of " all good things" according to the scripture at James 1:17.
Of course, we all know that bad things also happen to good people, but we know that comes from satan and his demons whose job is to promote wickedness, hatred, and destruction.
Jehovah himself will not hold back anything good from those walking in faultlessness. Psalm 84:11

Even though I claim to be an atheist, occasionally when something really brilliant happens I say "Thank you, God".
Maybe I'm a closet Christian, if there is such a thing.

No, many good things come to me that I never think of asking. God showers His blessing on the just and unjust alike. He does not wait for us to ask, even though He wants us to talk with Him and ask for the things we desire and need. I did say talk WITH Him because He talks to us in many ways. He gives answers to questions we ask if we will open our eyes and ears to the surroundings.

yea a guy from my sunday school says he prays that he makes it to the bathroom on time and he hasn't crapped himself that I know of
as for me, I feel more whole knowing the Lord is with me. That's why I'm a Christian, other faiths for some reason make me feel empty without the belief in Jesus Christ

Because I have accepted Him and His Word, I believe He does good things for me, personally, and those who I pray for.
Still, good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. He told us about this. I accept whatever He does. I don't have to like it, but I have to respect that He knows a whole lot more about everything than I do.

No. I accept my own role in the creative process of life. I believe that what we dwell upon in our heart and in our mind is what we get in this existence and I am proud to feel that I am on the right personal path when good things happen to me.
Peace!
