People were doing everything to seek out the god they believed in with all sorts of religion. It had been that way since the days of Nimrod and probably before that even. Now through Jesus, all have God's salvation, most don't realize or believe it. But thanks be to their creator, He has promised their final restoration. Don't be locked into fear or wonderment. It's alright to believe you are already saved because salvation has come in the flesh.

They were fidgeting in church. Saint Paul was speaking, and his nose was whistling every time he spoke, and the people were fidgeting, and looking around embarrassedly.
His nose was whistling so bad that even when he breathed it whistled, and it was getting worse.
About a half hour into that situation, the holy ghost showed up; and they all were happy, maybe Paul would shut up for awhile.
They didn't know it, but the holy ghost was actually Jesus' uncle wearing a sheet.
He had brought wine and muffins. Everybody was having wine and muffins, but not too long after that some of them started talking and laughing in a language they didn't understand.
That's what they were doing in church, why do you ask?
