how do you say 'game' in spanish? like a sports game, not a game game. i accidentally wrote los juegos del futbol americana! what do i write instead of juegos? i know it but i CAN'T remember and it's driving my crazy haha, so any help appreciated.

hmm well on my paper i wrote 'juegos del futbol americano' and my teacher highlighted juegos and said it was the wrong word. uhh so i'm confused now but i guess i'll write partido even though that isn't the common usage....if that's what she wants. well thank you all!

I think you mean "partido". Los partidos de fútbol americano. Hope this is what you were trying to remember.

If you want to say "The football games" it should be "Los juegos de fútbol Americano" or "El juego de fútbol Americano" (for singular).

ok maybe you can say "los partidos de futbol americano" or los "encuentros" (meaning matches) de futbol....." in a good slang las "retas de...." I think it is good
