I like good larger, eg. Edinger (non uk brewed)

uk larger has chemicals added to make the beer cheeper to make, hence hangovers
germany / belgian beers have no chemilcal. its the law in these countrys. Though beer like stella etc brewed in the uk (under licence) has the chemiclas added..
Summary, if you had a load of great tasting beer and no hangover the next day. the beer was good.

Freemans is generally good. Quite a lot of Belgian stuff, Gueuze & Kriek, Hoegaarden too
Always got a soft spot for a pint of Guinness but over the years a good pint of bitter has been a constant, not keg fizz but "real ale" if you want a type.

Sarah Hughes Ruby Mild.
Or Traquair Jacobite Ale. I also love most of the Cottleigh range.
They're not easy to get where I live, so I tend to end up with more mundane beers for most of the time!
