You are not the only person in the world that feels that way.Ive been through that also.God himself is not a wizard. He is a very
very patient god,and that is how he expects us to be.Do not stop doing the right thing.Although it is hard trying to do the right thing
all the time, never give up.Maybe what you are praying for may not be the keys,so that god can answer those prayers.Prayers don't work over night.God just doesn't help you,he also helps others around the world, including his angels. If you continue to pray, study hard, follow the rules, continue to do the right thing,
help those who are in great need, and little by little the things you see around you will change your life,if what ever you were praying for is that miracle.God loves you very much,he loves me and everyone else.Don't ever give up the enemy,if you no what I mean wants you to give up doing the right thing, and to lead a life in the wrong path.Never "try" to do something, trying
is for the weak who only put less effort and not enough effort
to the fullest extent.Doing something for yourself, others around you like friends, neighbors, your family, god, est. Those are the only things that matter, anyone else that tells you different is wrong for doing so.For the record you are not alone, god is with you along with others on this blog. You came to the right place, but the best place is at church, and in prayer.God bless you on your journey, and always have a great relationship with god and his son Jesus Christ. Also by the way,I would not recommend that you fast,Muslims to that. Not that I have anything against Muslims, but Christians
don't do those kind of things.God wants us to enjoy food,he just hates when we over eat.Christians don't need to fast just to show that our body is cleansed, and that we are loyal to him that that we love.Just do the right thing, and don't do things that
displease god,and don't hangs around bad association.

I' m sorry that you are struggling, but you have to realize God will do what every needs to be done in his own time. Because he doesn't do exactly as you want doesn't mean he is not listening or answering you. There is always the possibility he is saying no or maybe the time isn't right. First you need to find out what his plan is for you. I don't know what you are asking for, but you are in my thoughts now and i will pray that God helps you through this. I would if i was you to get more involved in your church, reach out. You would be surprised how many others need support to. God loves his people and wants us to help each other.

In my experience, god doesn't work like that. Perfect obedience--whatever that means--doesn't necessarily lead to a perfect life. Everyone has ups and downs. The question is--how do you deal with them?
I think that sometimes we look for god to do things for us, or to show us the answers, when what we really may have is the ability to affect the things around us. Instead of asking for god to heal someone who is sick, sometimes we should pray for the strength to deal with illness or even death.
Rather than waiting around for change, make the change--even if the change is how you perceive and deal with the situations in your life.
If there were a formula for a happy, trouble-free life, more people would have them. Typically, the people who seem more genuinely happy are those who have come to terms with the fact that things won't always be rosy, but they're not always rocky, either.
Sometimes I feel like I pray very little--or not at all. But, I feel like my life and thoughts are more like an open conversation with god. I almost never pray for specific things to happen--I don't think there's much point. God knows my needs and desires.
As far as rituals (such as fasting), I think they're more for people than for god. They can be a means of feeling closer to god, a means of self-sacrifice and discipline (and can easily go too far), but they're not for everyone. I also don't thing that they're a way of earning god's cooporation.
You definitely seem to be searching for something. Is there a person you can talk to? Sometimes, saying things out loud to another person can provide clarity, even if they can't give you advice. Obviously, I don't know what your struggles are, but hopefully--if you really think about it and consider different avenues--you're not really alone. The hard thing is finding someone who truly understands what you're going through and can honestly listen.
I could go on and on, but that's enough for now.

Yes, no and wait. Everything happens for a reason. When I pray it usually doesn't come true, but sometimes I feel closer to God. I feel a very real spiritual connection. Going to Church, reading The Bible aren't going to show God anything. It's all about doing great things for others for the good of others, not because you want something. So have good intent towards everything, go to confession regularly and keep receiving the blood and flesh of the Lord Jesus Christ.

I personally think god created us in time to let us grow and learn. we have to learn to become the responsible authority in our lives. We have to learn to take care of our problems through not just prayer or meditation, but also action. there can be no change if you dont take an active role in it. If god went around answering everyones prayers life wouldnt be worth it. Its almost like playing a video game with cheat codes on. It may be fun at the moment, but your missing the big picture.
And dont ever feel alone, thats the worst thing you can think. God is your minds eye, your own personal vision screen. Every morning you should wake up and thank god that your fortunate to be alive another day, basking in gods light.

Watch-
What are you praying for sweetie?
Is it God's will or yours you're seeking?
There are times when the best thing God can do is with hold a blessing until you are truly ready to receive it.
It sounds like you are praying and fasting conditionally on God answering, "Yes!"
"Pray, believing you already have received it and will be unto you according to HIS will..."
Pray, thankfully for all you have been given and the opportunity to glorify Him- not you.
It's a focus thing.
You are NOT alone. He's withe you and His angels never leave you.
Stop nagging & listen. There is tremendous peace in silence. "Be still and KNOW that I AM God."
Also, it is not enough simply to read The Bible; pray for understanding and how you can apply it in your life.
When you turn it over to God- leave it there. There is nothing you can do better than He.
He's got you covered. Snuggle in and let Him do His thing.
God bless you! Love you!

I think that very often people have the wrong idea about praying. We focus on begging god to help us make changes because we have negative things in our lives - but instead of having faith that our prayers will be answered, we continue to focus on the negative and thereby keep that negativity in our lives.
The way prayer works, in my experience, is whatever we dwell upon in our heart and in our mind is what we get in this existence. If we focus on, for example, "I don't have enough money, I need more money" - the message that is received is that we are intentioning lack in our lives. If we instead focus on "I know that God loves me and will provide all the money I need" then that is what we get in our lives.
Do you see the difference? Can you see a difference in being sick and feeling fearful or resentful about it versus being sick and feeling hopeful about it? Once you start focusing on the positive, being grateful for what you do have and the progress you make toward your goals each day, the more positive divine assistance you will get. If you remain in an attitude and feeling of "I am alone and God will never answer my prayers" then that is what you will get in your life.
Peace!

I totally agree with Jitterbug's answer. I know that suffering and starving doesn't make my God extra happy but that's just my opinion.God doesn't answer our prayers in our time frame unfortunately. That would mean that we are in charge and he's heeding our schedule! I know the fact that he's allowing you to suffer during this period of thime is frustrating.Like you I try sooo hard to intellectualize God even though it never gets me anywhere. If God was small enough for us to understand him we wouldn't need him right? The intense suffering I went through over my dad's death is totally unecessary in my opionion but I prob won't know why things like that happen until I'm on the other side. Not like this makes my suffering worth it but I've helped many others who are going through the same suffering I had to go through and the reason I was able to help them so well was because I had suffered..I just helped an alcoholic keep from drinking by telling her how I got through it when at the time I felt like there's not 1 miniscule thing that will ever come out of this. Our finite minds can't begin to comprehend his infinite wisdom. It's like comparing my dog's brain to mine! She prob can't understand why I leave her in the morning to go put food on our table and she's left alone to , "suffer." There's a reason for everything but unless we let go trying to figure out exactly what it is we will be unhappy. Acceptance is the key!

you need to have God word alive in you! It's not good enough to just go to church and read the bible...you need to believe what is in the Word with all your heart and soul and have faith that everything will turn out as you prayed for. Let me give you a prayer that really helps me out in times when I think my prayers aren't being answered. Pray it everytime you feel as though your faith is wavering...
Lord, help me to be so strong in You that my hope never wavers. Help me to never lose hope, even when it seems You have not heard my prayers or things are not going the way I prayed they would. I trust You to answer my prayers in Your way and in Your time. Give me patience to wait on You in faith, knowing that You will not leave me where I am forever. I trust that when things change they will change for the better. I have joy because my hope is in You. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
I hope this prayer helps...It comes from "Prayers for Emotional Wholeness" by Stormie Omartian...it is absolutely fabulous.
Also, my friend used a good metaphore for how the Lord works...which is really good. My friend said that when you are waiting for a prayer to be answered, it is like micorwave popcorn. When you put the popcorn to microwave for what seems to be the longest time, nothing happens...then all of a sudden you hear a pop...pop...pop....until the whole bag is overflowing with popcorn. So just because you don't see anything happening doesn't mean nothing is happening...God is getting things ready for you to recieve...you just need to continue to have faith and praise the Lord because soon enough it will come to you.
I hope this helps!

Change what you are praying for.... instead of a specific person or item or situation... pray for peace and understanding...
Reading your Bible, fasting, and going to church aren't going to solve problems.... if you are not willing to open yourself up to other possibilities that God has for your life. Stop trying to "control" your future with being "good" and focus on the connection with God - regardless of what it is you are asking for.
As for change - that is a focused effort on our parts... we change because we make that choice. God doesn't miraculously wave a wand and "poof" we are changed. He provides us with the strength and the courage and the understanding to make the change within ourselves.
Christ said to the beggar, "get up and walk..." but that man had to make the choice to move into action.... he wasn't healed until he actually GOT UP.
So - stop wanting and praying for change, and go make it happen. Pray instead for the power and the strength and the courage to make those positive changes in your life!
