If you buy fresh ginger root (even better if you can grow it yourself) then put a few slices into a teacup and infuse it with hot water, it will work wonders.
Cucumber is a diuretic; water is cleansing; garlic cleanses the blood.
Milk thistle, artichokes, dandelion root all support the liver, and yogurt and apple are good for the lungs.
If you want to try teas, schisandra and Pau D'arco (sometimes called Lapacho) are great immune boosters!

There are various kinds of detox products. Some focus on the digestive system, some focus on the liver or other specific organs.

The simplest detox is an all vegetable diet for a few weeks along with plenty of water. Eliminating toxins generally happens through the stool and so making sure that system is primed for the process is important.

I used NSP's Clean Start product with very good results. Here's the link: http://www.mynsp.com/carole/products/guide.aspx?stockNum=3993

I will also say that prior to starting this product I spent 2-3 weeks priming my system with a lot of water, magnesium and chlorophyl from the same company. This ensures comfort and gives you a better chance of success, because it helps to clear our any back log in the digestive system.

Before you start a program, you need to remember that you should have a bowel movement for every meal you have in a day and 1 extra if you have been constipated. Once you get to that point, then you know that the road is clear (so to speak) and the toxins can get out rather than compact and wreak havoc internally.

Peace!
Carole

Bentonite gel. Four times a day in 10 ouz water. B supplements (food form), its a five day cleanse. It works when it comes to a major detox.

It should not cost you any more than 150 bucks. I've seen rip off sites where they charge more and upwards of 300 to a thousand.

My PH D nutritionist partner and I (a CNC) have a home clinic where we offer these services over the phone or in person.

We do not charge during our consultations because teaching our clients how to take charge of their health and wellness is more important than relying on us.

There are 'on the shelf' products on the market that help cleanse the colon.
You may consider enemas, this does basically the same thing and is free, once you purchase the bag.

From what I've read, none of these 'detox' plans really work, and can even be dangerous. See below from WebMD:

Detox Diets: Purging the Myths
'Cleansing' diets may be worthless or even dangerous, experts warn.
