Why do atheists deny that God is a loving a just God? The Old Testament is proof of God's love and justice, silly atheists! God is just! He gives us free will, but that doesn't mean he won't kill people for using it! The story of the flood demonstrates perfectly that God is completely just. God saw how violent his HEATHEN creations were. Obviously the ONLY solution was to kill them all in a flood. God was forced to kill babies and animals because that is what people get for using their free will any other way than the way God approves of!
But this just shows God's unconditional love for us. You see, when it says that God smites unbelievers, it means LOVINGLY smites! He loves all of us and he is just, which is why he gives us free will, and will ensure that everyone who does not use it to worship him will get exactly what they deserve. An eternity of agony burning in hell. Yes, God is just. Why can't atheists understand this?

I can see the love now you pointed it out! Thanks for that's. My atheism is now challenged and I wonder why I could not see the love before!

Edit
I cant believe the Christians actually thought that you were pointing out God's love in the statement you made. Talk about blind faith and deluded! Boy they are scarry!

It is hard, nigh-impossible, if you believe that God damns people to Hell. He doesn't. People do it themselves! Damnation is caused by the fact that perfection does not mix with imperfection, much like oil and water, and anyone who sins is imperfect. God is perfect, and therefore, never mingles with sinners. The only two places on the other side of eternity are Hell and Heaven. You must either be with God, or without Him. But, say God were to die on the sinners' behalf. He would look at His own perfectness, placed upon the sinner, instead of the sin, letting that person into Heaven. Everyone is allowed to come to Heaven. It's just a matter of accepting the gift. That is why God is love, not hate. Yes, he is Just (as-in Justice), but would you say that letting people have what they want and deserve is hateful? Atheists want to be without God, so they will be without God, forever. But don't party yet. You may deceiving yourself now that that would be great, but it will not be. Try having fun in a world without anyone to save you from Hitler, Jihads, and the serial killers such as Ted Bundy! (No, the demons and Satan will NOT be tormenting you; you and your fellow Hell-bounds will do the work yourself!)

ya see it's like this
that flood it did take care of mass smiting
but it did give a bit of setback to the garden stuff

so God has been having to personally take care of smite orders
and even with all the wars his 'chosen' people just are not numerous enough to take care of all the smite orders God tfinds in his inbox everyday, especially all those on Monday mornings after all the churchgoers have so prayed for someone's demise

anyway the result is - God is way way way behind in taking care of smite orders centuries behind even (that is why the Angelic Hoards are diminishing - God has even had to send Smite Angle Deliverers down into that party in Hell to reach those already passed over - and everyone knows you just CANNOT get ANYONE to leave that place - but hey that is getting off topic)
and since atheists are no longer immediatly smitten for their atrocious dissbelief
there is no longer lucid perception of God's lovingness

Why is it so hard for you to see the dark side of your god? If he is so kind, he will not have a hell waiting for unbelievers. There is no free will. What you get is two choices: Heaven or Hell. We atheists do not believe in soul, Heaven, Hell or any god. So we do not have a choice at all. Do you get it?

Have you heard of Kwan Yin or Tin Hau, the two goddesses of mercy worshiped by Chinese and Southeast Asians? People believe these two goddesses will come to help when they are in danger. That is truly "unconditioned love" towards humans and animals.

I'm might not be an atheist
But your words are not words of God
Nobody wants to believe out of fear
If You want to feel Gods love
Go out and do something useful
Out there in the streets people are suffering more in this age than in the history of our past
Set an example

Why did I reply?
The answer is I have a child that one day I will leave when I die
And this world is in a much worse state than it was when I was born.
Then ,...there were people mostly mothers and grandparents that cared for whoever and were always there being good kind and gentle
You do not fit that bill from what you have written
My apologies if I have hurt you
I only mean to help

God loves us so much. I know waht you mean. He even loves us when he sentences us to an eternity of torture in hellfire.

God has been known to use his Earth-shattering powers of supreme might in the past, in huge demonstrations of how much He loves each and every person. Some examples are documented carefully in the Bible. Examples include: Flooding the world, burning cities to the ground, and causing plagues, famine, and swarms of locusts to attack people

We read in Gods Lawbook the Bible in John 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, THAT WHOSOEVER BELIEVETH IN HIM should not perish, but have everlasting life.

But God has more to say:

The way of the wicked is an abomination unto the LORD: but he loveth him that followeth after righteousness. (Proverbs 15:9)

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. (Psalm 1:6)

The Bible teaches that at the end of the world all the wicked will come under eternal punishment in a place called Hell, and this time may be very near. There is much Biblical evidence that points to the fall of 2011 as the end of the world.

Lindsey,
This is a prime example of how NOT to share God's Love.
Christ taught compassion, understanding and never once did He judge another human being.
We must show our love in our daily walk, not just on Sundays. Always remember, it is not our job to do anything but share and you don't do that by force.
Read Corinthians again and practice it.
You are not capable of "saving" anyone. The only person you can control is yourself. Do it gently & lovingly. People are drawn to JOY!
Many will be jealous and try to bring you back to their level- nothing can steal your joy when you know the truth.
Lighten up Sister.
God bless. Love you!

That is so clever. The Christians think you are actually demonstating a possitive for atheists not the truth about about how sadistic God would be if he were real!

i myself believe in God. i am not a christian. or anything else, i dont have a religion. my idea of God is not what is written in the bible, or taught in church. my idea of God is MY choice. my personal belief. its MY way of life and believing.

most christians are hypocrites. in the bible, it says you must love everybody. do YOU love everybody?! even if you do, there are sooo many christians that are racist and homophobic and extremely prejudgamental.

if you are an atheist, it does not mean you are a bad person.
if you dislike people who do not believe the same thing as you, then you are ignorant, and im sure your idea of God does not like people like that.

how would you like it if i told YOU what God is? how would you like it if i said "you are going to burn in hell if you dont believe the same thing i do?".

people like you is why there is so much hate in the world.

let other people believe whatever the want to believe. you should believe in what you want to believe. but dont push your religion onto other people.

because in spirituality, there is no "right" or "wrong".

There is no god. OK, religion was made up by man, as a way to explain what was at the time unknown.... It has evolved into a system of brainwashing and mind control, a way to gain wealth and power over the masses.... Your made up man in the sky does not exist, so the made up man can be neither just nor unjust......

What is unjust how ever is your closed mind......
