...first you have to understand that the "watchtower" (the printed cult-comic-book of the JW "cult") comes from Brooklyn, NY... "they" have printed an "exclusive" translation of the Word of God... it's the New World Test. this "skewed" translation has mis-represented God Words in many many passages as "they" cleverly attempt to dilute the Deity of Jesus... The Greek lexicon clearly shows in John, chapter 1 vs. 1 that in the beginning was the Word and the Word was God... "their" skewed translation reads ..."the word was a god"... John chapter 1 vs. 14 is also "skewed" by the NWT as well as the meaning of Salvation... Ephesians, chapter 2 vs. 8 & 9 clearly explain Salvation is a "gift" from God not of "works" so one man can boast... The watchtower and the "cult" base their salvation on "works"... totally unScripitual.
(B.T.W. "they" don't give honor to the American Flag either; you won't find it in any kingdom hall)... Help to show "them" the Truth and set the "religious captive" free !!!

that's a superb question pondering the reality that the two blood and fat are risky while digested. I first study this in Exodus while God commanded Moses to deplete all of the fat and exclude it from their eating habitual, and that i myself substitute into shocked how the JWs did no longer use that regulation for sure reported in Leviticus. A extreme fat eating habitual will clog your arteries and make you obese, inflicting heart issues, extreme blood rigidity and extreme ldl cholesterol, and probable even sleep apnea. If God knew all this hundreds of years in the past then why are the JWs now eating the fat no longer in user-friendly terms in animals yet in addition in brownies, cookies, brownies, pancakes, eggs, peanut butter...etc...? If the blood transfusions are limited using abstaining from digesting of blood regulation, then the regulation against the digesting of all varieties of fat could additionally be utilized to their doctrines if the JWs' wellness is in any respect a difficulty of their anointed elders. there is no longer something in Ephesians 2:15 asserting the fat regulation is abolished, till the Blood regulation is likewise abolished. This abolishment substitute into speaking concerning the guidelines commanding sacrifices, fairs, fasts, etc..., no longer the ethical rules. yet then the JWs will could make up their minds whether the Blood and fat rules are portion of the ethical rules or the different rules that are no longer any extra valid?

This is a mistake made by many Christians. The New Testament does direct Christians to eat unclean animals as stated in the Laws of Jehovah to Moses...

1.Timothy 4:3
"Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God has created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
For every creature of God is good, and nothing be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving:
For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer".

Note the very specific words in the text; "which God has created to be received".

Rats, vultures, pigs, crabs and so forth were not created to be received (eaten).

Who wants to eat predators, carrion, refuse eaters, bottom feeders, and so forth anyway?

God never did create these to be received and has not changed that particular thing.

The "fat" nor the "blood" of an animal is not meant to be used as a food. The blood is to be drained out and the fat to be cut away. The residuals of the blood and fat are cooked off.
_____________
Paul and the Apostles taught the Church not to participate in pagan blood rituals. This is quite different than the life saving use of blood in transfusions.

It's not about "Watchtower leaders," it's about what the New Testament says.

Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians, not Jews. Christians are not under the Law of Moses, which prohibits the eating of fat. But the Christian New Testament prohibits the misuse of blood. See Acts 15:19, 20, 28, 29.

Note especially that Acts 15:28 says that this is not just a directive from the apostles, but also from "the holy spirit."

The New Testament does not prohibit the eating of fat.

This was a rule regarding animal sacrifices under the Mosaic law. The fat was regarded as the best or the richest part. The Israelites were not to partake of the fat because the best part belongs to Jehovah God.
We are no longer under the law because Jesus put an end it. Romans 10:4 - "For Christ is the end of the Law, so that everyone exercising faith may have righteousness."
But it is still necessary to abstain from blood. Acts 15:28,29 - "For the holy spirit and we ourselves have favored adding no further burden to YOU, except these necessary things, to keep abstaining from things sacrificed to idols and from blood and from things strangled and from fornication. If YOU carefully keep yourselves from these things, YOU will prosper. Good health to YOU!”

It took me many years to understand this and witnessed that the true holy persons dont need blood transfusions; they bleed very little!
About fat exemption, maybe because
Christ performed miracle and gave the followers bread and fishes meal which had good fat.

In the new testament God said that everything he made is clean. I guess that goes for pork products. One of my friends died at 16 because she needed a transfusion. Her mom was a "Witness". I don't eat blood but I'll take it if it saves my life!

Dear Unsilenced Lamb,

I think you must have read my mind. I've wondered this myself and figured I should look up the appropriate Bible verses to have ready by my door for the next time Watchtower witnesses come.

To me this is just one more indication of pseudo-Christianity.

For His glory,
JOYfilled

Yeah well how come church folks eat pork? Pork is made out of pig, and pig is related to swine; and Baptists gorge themselves on that stuff til they are about ready to puke...

Jesus would never go near a pig, much less chew on one.

Or allow women to spread the word of God.
They are just as human as everyone else, it seems.
