my pitt is about to have her puppies and I want to check her temp. what is the best way to check? also she is very irratable I do not want to upset her.

Rectal thermometer, a little Vaseline & take the temp rectally. Most accurate way!!

Rectally is the best way to determine her temp. You can buy a rectal thermometer at any pet supply store.

I know you'll hate this answer, but the most accurate way is to take the temperature rectally.

rectally is the only way if she is irritable you may need help.
do not let go of the thermometer as some dogs will suck them in and this can be very dangerous

i know this is gross but you have to check check the temperature up its rear end.if her temp. is more than 220 she has fever

take her to someoine who is willing to stick it up her bottom. that is how you have to take her temperature.
