It starts in the mind. You have to make up your mind that the opposite is true. You must tell yourself that you are not shy and that you like to be the life of the party sort of say. Once you begin to tell yourself that over and over again then it will become your reality. It's also known as faking it till you make it!!

Hi shy girl.. Well i know how you feel because i went through all that in my 20's too. I was on meds for a few years for anxiety and also saw a therapist. First of all you need support. Youve gotta tell someone how you feel and examine why your so anxious. Maybe your looking for approval? Or You fear being judged? It stems from somewhere. Having a friend or friends to understand you helps too. Your making a first step here which is good. Theres no reason why anyone should live like that!! I wish you the best.

Do little things first. Look up at people when you go by them. If they make eye contact, say hi. If they don't respond to you, don't worry, that is their problem. Ask for something. With each success you are more likely to try something else. It takes practice. Keep it up. You will get better at this.
