If you look at different cultures, you will see that their particular god(s) fit into their way of life. Societies that believe humans are above nature create gods that give them dominion over other life. Those that have social ranking believe that the supernatural world also has ranking (like ranking of angels).

People who believe they are subjugated by nature, like the rest of life, usually believe in multiple gods that help sustain their lives - gods that control the sun, rain, etc.

To me this clearly points to the conclusion that all our gods are manmade. Is this a valid conclusion?

Sociologically you are correct, as far as you go. Unfortunately, your conclusion leaves out everything else that is human. Too limited a premise makes for too limited a conclusion, especially when the original scope is so broad. Bad logic.

Yours is an example of what those in the trade call "clear thinking, an activity much frowned upon by clergy, witchdoctors, tribal chiefs and the like!

Of COURSE all "gods" are figments of the minds of men.

Naturally that doesn't include The Flying Spaghetti Monster, meatballs & sauce be upon Him!

Modern science will soon prove that the Bible contains advanced scientific writings and instructions that humans did not and still don't have the scientific knowledge to have written. This will lead to proving a non-human scientific mind existed to write these scriptures. The Bible,Torah and The Dead Sea Scrolls are the only ancient writings of any other religion's religious books on Earth to contain advanced scientific instructions from the God they believe in and this fact will lead to proving all other gods don't exist and their evolved religions false.

You might be on to something, but the meat just isn't there. Gods are man-made, but you need a bit more support in your argument. Nice job though.

When you can't explain the world around you, primitive man historically jumped to the supernatural explanation.

Yes, they are man made, but is that any reason not to worship one or two of them? Or maybe three?

I side with the church folks on this one: Worship any damn god you please. Build churches, and sing praises til you're blue in the face. It's all good.

Yes. Xenophanes made a similar point: that if, say, lions had gods, the gods would resemble lions.
